| Back when the dash 8s were new, they held down the Overland Route Z trains; it was common to see sets of 3 or 4 on the Zs. Kinda unusual to see a C30-7 in with them (4th unit) during this time; usually you would see either solid sets or the ex MP C36-7s mixed in [unless you were in LA, in which you liked to stick a SD40-2 on the point!]. I was undergoing my second transfer to the wilds of Wyoming at that time, so I had a field day chasing them. |
