The most remarkable thing about this photograph is that it was taken only two weeks ago. The last "heritage" Budd stainless steel dome equipped "streamliner" approaches Capreol during the final afternoon of its three day trek from Vancouver to Toronto as VIA 2, the Canadian. The picture was taken from the dome of the "Park" car, and shows the winter consist of, in addition to the Park car, three sleeping cars, full diner, skyline dome, two coaches, baggage, and today a DH sleeper ahead of the baggage car behind two F40's. If you look closely you might notice that one of the coaches is not a former CPR car.
