| Remarks & Notes |
| At the suggestion of 1st trick Operator Sam Armstrong, Mike Nelson climbed the signal bridge and got this view of a westbound. "It'll make a better picture!", Sam surmised. 110C has 91 loads and 6 empties, assisting is 1B, 14D, 16, 5D, & 103A. Mark Gayman, railpictures.net contributor and one-time 2nd trick Op here adds, "That rodding on the right brings back fond memories--when I "broke in" under Sam's instructions, I pulled one of the levers connected to a far reaching rod for a switch on that side of the plant, lost my grip, and fell on my keester. I think it may have been the lever for the IC siding, the left most track in this picture. It was seldom reversed because they used the siding to store tanks cars (as shown) for the fertilizer plant at Menominee, about half way between Portage and East Cabin, via a spur off the west bound track."
