| Metrolink 855, SCAX commuter train bound for Riverside California makes it way under the Whittier Blvd. bridge that spans both the Los Angeles River and the Metrolink / Union Pacific tracks on the east side of the river. The 4th Street bridge and the MTA / Patsaouras Transit Center building are visible in the background. Sadly this very locomotive was involved in the deadly September 12, 2008 accident at Chatsworth in which 24 passengers lost their lives. This image was taken in January of 1997.
