| Remarks & Notes |
| Continuously welded rail is a rarity on the Alaska Railroad, but this stretch of track between Potter and Girdwood has recently been rebuilt, allowing the railroad to put ribbon rail and a class 1 worthy roadbed in place. The Spirit of Alaska has 82 cars of northbound freight in tow as it makes the track speed of 49mph along the Seward Highway. |
