| Cog wheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 4, longterm lent out from the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn to the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB), on the Steffenbach bridge in a grade of 11 %. This 36 m long folding bridge is moved back to the abutments every autumn to give way to the avalanches. This work is be done by about 16 strong men in a days work with the help of sets of pulleys. |
