| After leaving Bury, the third crossing of the River Irwell is this fine bridge at Summerseat. It was a lovely but bitingly cold and frosty morning as I stood in the river. I was waiting for the spectacle of an 'A4' resplendent in the short-lived BR blue livery. My toes also were in the same colour scheme for a couple of hours after she had passed! |
