Remarks: The first three units from the Longmont Turn seen here after the Turn derailed the night before. BNSF 8105 didn't fall completely over, but BNSF 9801 (SD70MAC) and BNSF 143 (GP60M) weren't so lucky.

Thats a shame...I just saw 9801 a few months ago it was in The CSX Pittsburgh yard.

Nice photo & good location for it. I see the "live" trucks from the TV stations are already there. Good work.

This is very sad to see this happen with the BNSF 143! I was onboard her when the BNSF had the 143 on display during LaCrosse Railfair and was onboard. The engineer was friendly enough and I even was able to blow the horn that day and control the bell. Hopefully they don't retire her after this derailment.

Nice capture to a sad event, considering this was a deliberately caused derailment

I hope that isn't the end of another executive unit...

Ouch, that must have made a pretty good thud!

August 2005 was the first time i saw a GP60M in Minot ND 143 was the unit i have the picture i took of her up on my wall. She is my favourite unit because i love the GP60M. Sure hope she gets fixed up and back on the rails.

Oh, poor locomotives... I hope they are still used after this.

This is a shame, to see that some folks here have 'ties' with these locos. I sure hope I don't see a photo of CSXT 6882 lying on its side!
