| From Wikipedia: "The Lima LRS-1200 was a 1200hp road-switcher configured with a B-B wheel arrangement, built by Lima-Hamilton in '50. All 16 went to the NYC, a second order was outstanding at the time of the LH merger with BLW. The second order was built not at Lima but Eddystone as Baldwin RS-12s." John captured the 5800 at North Bergen. Later that year, the #5800-slot on the NYC roster would be assigned to a new EMD GP7. |
