| Remarks & Notes |
| I decided to spend the day fanning at the NH platform in New Haven. Little did I know that later that day President Truman would be making a stump speech for Adlai Stevenson at this location. But first The Senator departs with new streamlined Pennsy coaches, recently purchased from Budd as part of an order of 60, used on PRR limiteds including this shared Bos-DC run with NH. 1592 is a 74-seat coach, 8 were assigned to each run. It contained 60 reclining seats in a 2+2 config. and a 14-seat smoking lounge with those seats along the outer walls. |
