| Penn Central freights kept running in the open as if a successful reorganization were possible. In the closed rooms on Wall Street and the Federal Courts on Main Street, word was spreading that the Penn Central has to quit. Railfans in droves were disappearing from the PC rights of way and heading toward the green pastures of the B&M, D&H. I continued taking slides of black fading diesels. |
