Remarks: This brand new General Electric locomotive is designated an "ES44AH" by owner CSXT. Built in late January 2008, it cost nearly two million dollars with all the options, including GE's radial trucks. The locomotive also weighs a whopping 432,000 pounds! The H actually stands for High Adhesion software. The AH models load a maximum of 200K lbs. of tractive effort as compared to the max 180K of previous AC44s.
