As the storm continues, a Series 16 "Polycurant" with an Oostende to Koln Fast Expres - Belgian National Railways/German Federal Railways (first car is a baggage wagon) - comes to a stop and the engineer gives me a look. Able to work under the different voltages of Netherlands, France, Germany, Luexemburg and Belgium, the Series 16 were utilized on international trains. This unit was delivered as a Series 160 in 1966, reclassified in 1971.
