| Eastbound stacks wait on the Santa Ana River Bridge for westbound stacks to pass. This was my second time seeing both trains, having caught the eastbound at Rowland Heights and the westbound at Colton earlier in the day. If I understood the radio correctly, the w/b was now on its third crew of the day. Although both trains are UP, this is BNSF's San Bernardino Sub. UP's trackage rights date back over 100 years and span the gap in its former "Los Angeles & Salt Lake" between Yermo and Riverside. |
