| The Metrolink from San Bernardino to Los Angeles has just crossed the San Gabriel River. It is now heading downgade over the horses at Rancho El Farallon. This segment of elevated track is the "El Monte Flyover," or "El Monte Fly." It is part of Metrolink's San Gabriel Sub (patched together from former Pacific Electric, Southern Pacifc and Santa Fe trackage). The tracks on the berm underneath it are the Union Pacific Alhambra Sub, the one time Southern Pacific Sunset Route. |
