Remarks & Notes
Snow falls as a heavy eastbound manifest pulls up to the siding at Scenic Washington to find 9 rail fans waiting. In a rare event the conductor hops off his train and for the next 2 hours the rail fans give their cameras a break while the conductor tells priceless stories of what it's like to run trains over Stevens Pass in the deep snow, stall inside the Cascade Tunnel, how to start a train on the 2.2% grade at Berne during an ICE STORM and what it's like to be lost in the fog inside the Cascade Tunnel. Rail fans (left to right) Dan Bolyard, Dale Miller, Zach Hastings, and RR'er Chris AKA RRJeep. Taken During the Tracks in the Snow Event.
