| UP E9(A) 951 wears the train number (#104) for the "City of Los Angeles in her number boards at the 50th Anniversary of Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal. My personal introduction to the "City of Los Angeles" came many years earlier in the I LOVE LUCY rerun where Ricky, Lucy, Fred and Ethel rode it home from LA. Personally seeing the "City of Los Angeles" at LAUPT was pretty cool. E9(A) #951 dates from May 1955, too late to have been in the episode (which had originally aired Spring of 1955). |
