A couple of former icons, now faded and worn, are captured on a beautiful morning in California desert. Headed up by a beaten and tattered warbonnet, a long eastbound drag freight stretches into the distance is it approaches the old Route 66 hamlet of Amboy, running parallel to the road that once "made" this town, and is now lucky to see 5 vehicles an hour.
