The Sunset Limited is already running a little late as it crosses the San Gabriel River passing from El Monte to La Puente, California. Just seconds earlier, Julie at Amtrak told me the train was on time for a Pomona stop at 3:11 PM. Well, it's 3:20 PM here and the train is still 16 miles from Pomona. Amtrak P42DC #36 came to the railroad in early 1997, while #170 arrived in early 2001.
