Remarks & Notes
As a teenager not yet old enough to drive, I needed to bum rides to railfan. One Sunday in early 1970, my Dad and I (and Rex, our dog) headed tackside. Here a four-car Santa Fe train 75, a westbound San Diegan, blasts through Santa Fe Springs on its way to Los Angeles from San Diego. Lead engine F3A 33L would later be rebuilt into ATSF CF7 2614. (Santa Fe Springs, California – February 1970)
