Southern Pacific SW1500 2525 brings a Union Pacific train through Santa Ana, California, on its way to nearby Costa Mesa - the box cars are loaded with paper for the Los Angeles Times printing plant there. Seen here on January 29, 1999, the 2525 would be retired by owner UP 13 months later, on February 25, 2000, without ever being renumbered into the UP's roster.
