| There's something about rolling through the vast landscapes of Alaska at 49mph, on jointed rail, with the crisp northern air in your face, and the unfamiliarly discernable roar of two SD70MACs in your ear that makes for an experience you'll never forget. All of this is made possible by the unique outdoor viewing platform aboard the Alaska Railroad's bilevel Gold Star Service passenger cars, which run daily each direction on the summer Denali Star trains between Anchorage and Fairbanks. |
