| SLRG 1744 completed first 4-car public trip from La Veta, CO, into Alamosa at 6:00 PM. Train had over come the 3% grade for westward trains from La Veta up to Fir (the summit). Nice work by engineer Earl Knoob and fireman Steve Butler. |
