| This was Amtrak's first railfan excursion in the Bay Area as this special ran from Oakland to Tracy by way of Niles Canyon and Altamont Pass and then back to Oakland on the Moccoco and CalP. It is seen crossing Farwell Bridge in Niles Canyon, now the path of the Niles Canyon Railway. |
