| New Haven local freight BX-29 is heading back to Framingham after working the New England Industrial Park all day. I knew the engineer on this job and had a ride once in a while. One day a new crew was filling in for vacations, and it took them into the night to finish setting off and picking up at the industrial park. The dispatcher told the engine crew to high ball back to Framingham. They did so but unfortunately left Newton Upper Falls before the rear crew was on the caboose. The engine crew riding in the locomotive arrived Framingham the same time as the caboose crew in a taxi. They were greeted by a very agitated red faced Trainmaster. File this under don’t let it happen again. |
