Good to see the Ansel Adams of Donner Pass is still alive and well. Move aside, former Dean of Western RR photography Steinheimer. How did you manage to get the UP to bring out the rotary in this relatively mild winter? This is the type winter that flangers and spreaders usually suffice. This picture and the other rotary picture you just posted are great shots! I wonder if this is 35mm, medium format film, or digital. If it is digital, I may switch over. |

It was a training exercise to teach the new employees how to operate the rotaries before all the old heads who do it now retire. |
