| NEW Reading Lines GP30s. Two month old Reading GP30s 5505-5507 and a Reading GP7 sit in Reading's Rutherford yard with their train while the crew takes a break sitting on a bench and waiting for their next assignment. I came across these RDG GP30s and RDG GP7 while chasing a Reading "Iron Horse Ramble" with RDG 4-8-4 2102 in May 1962 - look close and you can see some smoke from the 2102 in the background above the RDG GP30s. The Reading purchased 20 non-dynamic brake equipped GP30s numbered 5501-5520 from March thru July 1962; and all went to CONRAIL as CR 2168-2187 in 1976.
