Remarks: Considered by some to be the ugliest train to ever cross Donner Pass. the Sierra '49er Express replaced the fun train for the 1990-91 season. Transisco went bankrupt in April of '91. The locomotives are now on Montana Rail Link.

Thats an interesting train..nice shot of it. Was the BN the owner of those F45s at the time?

Transisco had three F45's, all of which were ex-BN. One of them, 1001 I think, was the F45 that Doyle McCormick owned at one time, which he painted in NYC colors prior to it going to Transisco.

Don't froget the three years these belonged to the WSOR, most of which were spent leased back to BN. All three of these ended up back on home rails working for Montana Rail Link.
