| Southern Pacific SD45R 7499 and SD40R 7342 assist Daylight GS-4 4-8-4 4449 as the train descends into Mojave on its way to Los Angeles, California (and eventually New Orleans) on May 12, 1984. The diesel helpers will be cut off in Mojave. |
