For what it looks like to me, is that there must of been a miscommuncation between the two trains. The Grinder hit a parked stack train that looks if it is waiting on the highball or perhaps crewless. Just my two cents! |

NS 214 had pulled into the siding to meet 24T going the opposite direction. 24T was late, so 214 left it's tail on the main to avoid blocking a busy grade crossing. The railgrinder came around a blind curve doing 15-20 mph and resulted with this. Thanks to those on the VRFE email list for providing this guess. Above is not actual, but probable. |
