DOTX 218 rests on an interchange track between the Gettysburg and Northern and the NS Lurgan Branch in Mt Holly Springs. This is a FRA track geometry vehicle equipped with the ENSCO, Inc deployable Gage Restraint Measurement System, visible behind the ladder in the middle of the car.

A few snow showers hang over our destination of Winnemucca, NV as BNSF 6808 makes good time eastbound across the desolate plains of northern Nevada. The battered nose provides a reflection of more light grass, blue sky, and winter clouds to the north.
