Remarks: A Hoboken bound train pushed by GP40PH-2A no. 4147 rides under the catenary as it heads east through East Orange. Traffic on the parallel Interstate 280 is relatively light on this mild autumn afternoon. The train is on the former Delaware, Lackwanna & Western rails, now NJ Transit's Morris & Essex Lines.
Remarks: Comet I Cab no. 5121 (since retired) trails a Mount Olive bound train out of Convent Station in Morristown. Since being retired by NJ Transit in early 2009, the Comet Is have found new life at various transit agencies across the country. This particular cab car was leased by SEPTA and is now SEPTA no. 2460.
