Remarks: With a wood post from the guardrail acting as a tripod, a Monday evening charter brings the Essex Clipper Dinner Train through the town of Deep River. VALE 97, a 2-8-0, was used as power in place of the regular GE 80 Ton switchers.

Remarks: The fireman leans out the cab window to watch for traffic as the 2-8-2 approaches the crossing at Essex St. This 2-8-2 has been fitted with a headlight on the tender to allow it to pull trains in reverse since no turntable exists on this line.
