Remarks: The short lived Transcisco Passenger train ran between San Jose, CA to Reno NV for maybe a year. It was a luxury private train operated with 35 on-board service personel with Amtrak crews operating the locomotive. They used 3 ex-BNSF FP45's painted in this scheme. Ticket prices were a tad high starting at $249 so the public didn't really jump on this and consequently this beautiful train died. The location is Colfax, CA and the train is heading west.

Remarks: Amtraks CA Zephyr #6 is about 2 hours late when it flies by Parran siding at m.p. 312 on the UP's Nevada Sub. The sun has just peaked out from behind the clouds to give this nice dusk look to the stainless.

Remarks: SP rotary 207 is coming to a stop in Truckee and soon the cleanup will begin. They rotaries will cross over to #1 rail the next day and clean that line up.

Remarks: The Union Pacific has sent the rotaries up to Donner Pass to train crews. At Bowman, CA, they've stopped briefly to allow the eastbound CA Zephyr to go by.
