on a beautiful fall afternoon, CSX unit grain train G620 heads south on the Mainline Sub with a pair of ES44DC's in charge. Interestingly the train was entirely made of up CSX hoppers.

J765 led by CSX #2246 prepares to cross from the #1 main to the #2 to work the small yard before heading out onto the Lebanon Branch.

with the fall colors still evident, local J765 backs up to recouple to the remainder of its train and continue the journey south.

at M.P. 15 local J765 led by Road Slug #2246 backs up to drop a few hoppers at the Kenlite plant, formerly known as Solite. The rest of the train is visible in the distance.

Q574 with CSX AC4400CW #5102 leading crosses the Salt River after having met southbound Q201 at Bardstown Junction just a short time before this photo. It was a busy afternoon on the Mainline Sub.

CSX train Q201 heads south accross the Salt Rver Bridge in Shepherdsville with a pair of BNSF C44-9W's. The BNSF units added a nice burst of color to the scene.

under threatening skies CSX train J781 rolls by the NS Magolia Yard as it makes its way back home to nearby Osborn Yard. Not long after this photo, J781 and counterpart J772 would be abolished.

SIND ALco S2m #104 leads sister unit #103 and a short train through the woods of southern Indiana. The train is headed for Watson where the cars will be dropped off for pickup by CSX.
