Remarks: The death of a rail line. The last regular freight passed over the CN Kinghorn Sub in May 2005 and it has since been left abandoned. In October 2008, CN began to dismantle the doomed rail line beginning at Dorion (MP 153) and reached Pass Lake (MP 172) before stopping for the winter. By mid-July 2009 the western portion of the Kinghorn Subdivision was completely dismantled and left for the history books! In September 2009 CN continued to dismantle the line from Dorion heading eastward.
Remarks: The whining of four SD40-2's in heavy dynamics disturbs the silence as CP 6041 slows & prepares to cross over from the north to the south main track at Dexter with a short but heavy manifest freight.
Remarks: CP 8753 leads train 114 around steep rock bluffs and momentarily leaves the shores of Lake Superior to cross the Little Pic River and begin its assault on Neys Hill.
