Remarks: F-units live! Well...almost! On a quiet and sunny Saturday morning in Los Angeles Junction Railway's Vernon, CA yard, CF7 #2563 rests alongside CF7 2568 (being cannibalized for parts), and an assortment of leased BNSF power, including BNSF GP30u #2447 in the background (one of the last operating GP30u's on the roster). The city of Los Angeles skyline can be seen in the distance.

Remarks: In a scene that could only be found on the Pacific Harbor Line, GP7 #101 rests alongside PHL SD40T-2 #51 and a motley assortment of power at their open-air locomotive facility in Wilmington, Ca. on a quiet Saturday morning. Sadly, this scene cannot be repeated today; all of the power seen in this photo has either been retired and/or stored, or returned to lessor. Just goes to show how quickly things can change.

Remarks: Hurry up and wait...UP SD60M 2368, in charge of the ICTF switch job, takes a break from its duties while an empty unit trona train, with UP SD70M 4949 leading a trio of sister units, awaits its turn to depart. UP 2368 is unique in that it has been retrofitted with a catalytic converter in order to reduce exhaust emissions, a major concern in the LA Basin.
