Remarks: An un-Conrailed Monongahela Super7-23B, number 2035, waits in the yard at West Brownville, PA to depart with an empty train of hoppers for the coal mines of southern Pennsylvania.
Remarks: No mistaking that face for anything but a GP30. It would appear that the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum will be ensuring that this unit lives on for others to enjoy.
Remarks: Having seen better days this ex-GM&O GP35 sits inside the K-25 facility in Oak Ridge, TN, now part of the Southern Appalacia Rail Museum collection. Now wearing VLIX (Vintage Locomotive, Inc.) reporting marks we can only hope that this unit will be restored to it's old glory and pull trains again someday.
Remarks: 6+ inches of snow over the past couple of days makes for some nice shots as VIA 909 leads train #72 east out of Windsor and through the town of Puce while enroute to Toronto.
Remarks: South Branch Valley 8016 (ex-CRR 800), wearing a beautiful C&O paint scheme waits patiently for passengers to board the Potomac Eagle tourist train in Romney, WV on a beautiful Fall day.
