Remarks: The day after: this is the front end engine cab of the "V150" world rail speed record TGV trainset the day after the record. IT is still jammed with many additional equipments and video cameras that were used to broadcast the event on televisions during the record run.

Remarks: We have seen it again and again, and still, after many months, I am amazed how beautiful they have made this train look, for the sake of communicating to the world about the rail speed record. Technical reasons did not allow for the black livery and chromium decal to entirely cover the engines up to the extremities. But as the cut happens at the engine door, the look is still great.

Remarks: After the March 28 incident that occured during the high speed tests for the world rail speed record - see picture 181461 - the TGV4404 pushes back the V150 to Paris. Even though its pantograph is up, the V150 is unable to use its own engines, because the brake air line is broken.

Remarks: Paris welcomes and celebrates the record breaking train. This exhibition is located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, under the Iena Bridge. The big Art Deco building in the background is the "Palais de Chaillot".
