The 1937 Budd-built Navajo was on the rear of the CHIEF. This car was one of Budd's first non-articulated lightweights having been built for the first SUPER CHIEF set.
The eastbound CHIEF rolls into Raton on July 4th as the American flag waves in the breeze. This shot has always been a favorite.
The CHIEF is inbound to Chicago on a bright, sunny Tuesday morning with A-B-B-B-A F units on the front.
