I'm not sure what the odds are of seeing four Rio Grande units in the same place in 2009, but it probably doesn't happen very often! (The fourth unit is #302, barely visible at far left).

Rook is a great place to look into railroading's recent past. The D&RGW and Wisconsin Central are both gone now, but you might not think that was the case after witnessing this scene in 2009.
After 90 minutes of waiting, the helper set finally sees the ore train that it will help push eastbound. It was a pretty nice mix of patched power, including a former WC and Oakway unit.
