It was 1997, Tennessee Pass had a new owner Union Pacific. On this day it still looked and operated like the Southern Pacific, as three almost new AC4400's tackled the 3%.....

A coal Drag at Mitchell. It took 9 AC's to lift 13000 tons over the 3% Tennessee Pass. I saw them do it with 8, but they barely made it!
