From a hill above Stockholm, the Watertown local sweeps through a cut west of town. Far western Minnesota can be seen in the distance some 20 miles away.

After a brief stop at Powell, the Mayville Local trundles up to D.L. Switch to head into the yard. The trailing unit was apparently suffering from mechanical problems and was dead in tow.
