The monorail was the answer to some of the transport needs in Las Vegas. The route is east of the strip (not on it) making it not as user friendly as other transit systems. Expansion is pending.

A good look into Arden Yard from the new the Cactus Ave bridge. Really enjoyed this perch for trains, a safe area, easy to park and the bridge has a good walkway safe from traffic.

Double stacks bound for LA stretch above an Army Reserve complexe in Sloan, just south of Vegas. What deceptively looks like a remote desert outpost is only a short trip to the Strip.
A single DPU helps shove a short manifest (of about 30-40 cars) through Sloan. This was the 2nd train I saw all day in Vegas.
