Uneventful day in Peach Creek Yard...

Ex BN SD40-2 on the lead of a NS unit train awaiting a crew in downtown Williamson just outside the yard.

UP 5324 rolls out of the west portal of the recently altered GA Tunnel, notched to accommodate double stacks along the Pokey. The new sign is a nice touch too...

Unit coal train rolls through the sharp turn at Ought One, only to have the lead DPU on the rear go down near Panther, which required the rear units to be put on the front, and a call for pushers ... (more)

Logistics? Heavy duty power leads NS 233 through the tight turn at OO to deliver doublestacks through the recently completed Heartland Corridor Project along this stretch of the Pokey.

Spring has sprung in the Tug Valley, and won't be long til Main 1 greens up again as this EB Grain Train struggles up the Pokey Grade near the CWC.

Looking approximately 1000' down from high atop Pine Mountain, pushers have just exited Pool Point Tunnel and enter Breaks Gorge near the KY/VA border near Elkhorn City.

Deep in and on the south end of Breaks Gorge, CSX 469 gets the green after being stopped as MTY's took to the siding seen to the right.

Jordan Snow Plow with Chessie still sleeping spotted in the remnants of the yard at Quinnimont, deep in the heart of the New River Gorge. Don't see many of these in Southern Appalachia.

Pushers emerge from Pool Point Tunnel and into the Breaks Gorge after crossing the Russell Fork River near the Kentucky/Virginia State Line.

Turbopane? Newly installed duct work for a switch heater looks to me like it'll get the job done. Located at the junction of the Buchanan Branch and the Pokey at Devon.
