Two class 18Es with a class 36 shunting loco behind lead a grain train out of Cape Town on a sunny Spring day.

Class 18Es 691 and 693 with a Rovos passenger train behind approach Klapmuts with not much of the journey to Cape Town left.

15023 and 43079 lead another load of empties back to the mines running here through the sand dunes outside Lamberts Bay which can be seen in the back on the right.

18-515 is in charge of this cement train as it passes through the Cliffdale area running contra flow. The units would have picked up the load from NPC (Natal Portland Cement) at Mount Vernon.
