CNW's SD18 were among my favorite locomotives, purchased late in their careers. Here, 6627 (ex-Sou 6309). has a coal train in tow as it rolls along the bluffs of the mighty Mississippi.

Northshore Mining #1231 and two sisters are giving it their all pulling a tailings train out of Silver Bay in May of 1997. The brown/tan paint scheme is a stark contrast to today's blue and white.
