Unit was dead. Built as GN 231 in 6/53 became SP&S 83.
This is my 1000th photograph accepted to this site. Sort of a run-of-the-mill railfan picture. Not very special to be number 1000. But at least it was the 4th of July.
Inbound Dinkey meeting the outbound East End Way Freight with a caboose too! The SD9 is ex-CB&Q 343.
I have no idea what those people down there were doing. The SD7 however was ex-CB&Q 309. The dinkey is inbound just minutes from leaving Aurora has a generator car on the rear.
With a dinkey, BN 9924 is an E9A.
