Built in 1971 this is a SD38DC which the DT&I only had two numbered 253-254.. The other SD 38's they had were built in 1969 numbered 250-252.
Was used in the local switching in the area.

One thing I like about this hobby is watching the changes. DCs, a different plant in the background and frequent coal trains, things of the past. Nice string on a southbound coal train.
Former B&O series was way outnumbered in the Chessie System by GPs, though I have never figured out why.

Heeling into the curve this southbound pig train pays no attention to the yard as it races south.
