A quiet morning in old town Lehi is shattered by the passage of Union Pacific's Geneva, Utah to Minntac, Minnesota ore empty (with a cut of general freight on the head end).
Freshly painted 6718 leads 6709 and 56 cars of the Escanaba-Green Bay freight east near Daggett.
The end for Mongrel 1505 came when the roundhouse burned at Iron Mountain on June 12th, 1976. Here the unit is seen at Adams headed for scrap. Photo is in my collection with no photographer inform... (more)
